So, basically, for our whole lives, individually and as a society, we've been told to stuff down our emotions. We learn not to cry, not to show how we feel, not to feel anger, to stay 'positive'.
But what does that really do? Does it actually clear the emotion and the underlying trigger? No. Does it serve us in a way other than not inconveniencing ourselves or others? No.
Part of becoming more aligned with who we are at Soul-Level, is becoming more and more aware of what is NOT aligned. What is NOT based in Truth. What we've tolerated for far too long, that is no longer acceptable to us. And you know, how we feel about our discoveries is not always pretty!
Sometimes it might feel ragey. Or full of despair. Or so angry. It might feel like a torrent of grief purging out of you more fiercely than you ever thought possible. It could feel sad. It may also feel like a relief, clarity, centered...but usually when the veil is first lifted, all those others come up. It's typically not convenient, not comfortable, not what you feel like dealing with when it does.
Our cells are carrying all that emotion. When we stuff it down, it's still in there, still affecting our entire vibration, still actively attracting like vibrational experiences to us...still in there reaching ever higher to a tipping point that is more than our specific experience in this moment.
The best remedy--when it comes up. Feel it. Feel the awful, uncomfy, bursting forth energy of it. Let out a primal scream in your car. Write down how you feel in the actual words coming through. FEEL it. Let it move through you. It's the only way to make room for what is to come.
The only way to allow a clearing for new, for your new soul-led lifestyle creation. Cry the tears. Sit in the awfulness of it all, and allow it to shift after being felt.
Your emotions are also messengers. Feelings can cue you in on when you are in or out of alignment. When a choice is beautifully resonate with your intention, or when it's going to create some dissonance. Sometimes they may point to when a personal boundary or several have been crossed and it's time for self-care, asserting your boundaries in order to honor yourself and your beautiful Being.
It's all part of the process of aligning more with YOU. And you are so needed in this world exactly as you are.
