8 Ways to Shift your Circumstances Part Two
This is in continuation from 8 Ways to Shift your Circumstances Part One, which you can find Here.
In Part One, we talked about the first 3 things you can do to shift your circumstances, which are to feel your feelings, move your body and forgiveness practice.
Let's continue, shall we?
4. SLOW DOWN
When things start feeling stressful, hectic, impossible, overwhelming...we tend to speed up. We may feel like if we stop even for a moment, all those spinning plates in the air are going to come crashing down one by one and then all at once in one big caplooey!
But how do you actually feel about the results you achieve when you refuse to stop when things are piling up? Are they your best work? Adequate even? Or maybe sort of taken care of, but your mind was in so many millions of places that you aren't really sure if it was done well, completely, or with all the nuances to make sure it won't creep up again with more issues.
Making mistakes that you normally wouldn't make. Kind of like making sweet potato chick pea patties and realizing you literally forgot to make the sweet potato!!! (Thankfully this hasn't happened to me - yet 😉 ) Or going to make some tea and forgetting to put the tea into the hot water? Been there, done that!
SLOW DOWN. When things start to feel overwhelming. When you have so many plates in the air you can't see straight. When you feel like if you dare take a break, your whole world will come crashing down... you must STOP. Breathe. Walk away.
It will NOT shift if you keep going at the same pace.
This is where you choose something that you like to do! Take a walk. Journal. Water your plants. Snuggle your pet. Put your feet up and watch some Masterpiece Theatre. Take a shower or bath. Meditate. Lay down. Nap!
Literally stop trying to 'do' anything on that list. It's in this space where new can flow in. Where ideas, solutions can come together. When you're pushing the Universe is pushing against you to try to give you gifts! And it doesn’t work! There has to be space to receive.
I get that taking a break may be a new thing to consider when things are going haywire. Give yourself some Grace. Maybe take 10 minutes to walk away. Then choose ONE thing to start on and just work on it in your own time. If mistakes are the word of the day, then take another break. Take longer as you can.
You are so much more than what you DO. Practice taking time to BE.
5. HAVE FUN!
The heading says it all! Have fun! Do something that you enjoy! Laugh out loud! Feel pleasure!
Watch a funny movie, ride a roller coaster, go dancing, catch up with a friend, be silly!
Part of creating you very own Soul-led lifestyle is creating a life that feels GOOD!! If it's aligned to your beautiful Divine nature, it feels good!
Your Soul came here to experience itself in a human form -- enjoy yourself!
To be continued darlings! Until next time xoxo
